Time Trials

Good Afternoon Chargers! This is Coach Jay and I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. First off, I want to say that we had an excellent first week and I'm super excited to continue working with you guys as we get into the meets. I'm more than sure Coach Esco, Emma, and Chase feel the same way. As we start getting closer to meets, practices are going to a bit more up tempo and a bit harder. We want to see you guys get better each day and it starts at practice and you show it in the meets. Speaking of meets, we'll be holding time trials on May 31st, the first day of morning practice. On this day, we'll be timing you all in various events. One thing that will be a constant is that each age group will be put through a short distance freestyle event (25 Free for ages 5-10, and 50 free for ages 11+). After that, we'll be timing you in events the swimmers want to do to get an idea of where you'll be going into the first meet. On that day, we need you all well rested, hydrated, and ready to swim (which means goggles and caps if you have one). We'll do a quick warm up and then get you out to do your trials. We want this to be a quick and efficient process so distractions and delays will not be tolerated. Thank you guys so much, see you on Monday! Go Chargers! P.S., what do you guys think of "Shock the World!" as our little team catchphrase/slogan/cheer? I thought it'd be cool considering we're called the Chargers.
